“A Prophetic Moment”

     As I sit here, I am listening to a beautiful love song… the lyrics…. beautiful, the music and melody lush and almost- well, tropical… moving.  I can almost feel the breeze and the melodic tropical rhythms dancing through the palm trees.... I see the dazzling sunset arrayed in brilliant hues of orange, purple and blue....I can smell the fragrant and fresh ocean breeze lingers as the waves are dashing and crashing along the rocks ...

     It’s a music video……A woman is walking along the beach... She is desperately crying and crooning that she wants to be the one to win the heart and trust of her beloved.  Her heart is yearning and longing for the tender heart of her beloved.  In thinking about her man she realizes that he has been hurt deeply, suffering a broken heart and is guarding it heart with the walls of a brass strong fortress.  She painstakingly tries to get into his heart, but he can’t get out.   He’s trapped.... She hopes and prays that he sees that she is truly the one for him that is “Sent From Heaven” (Keiysha Cole).

     Although this is a scene in a music video... it echoes the sentiments of the heart of our God!  At this moment I can hear His heart crying out like woman rejected scorned, “I want to be the one you love!  I want to be the one you trust! I want to be the one you believe in your heart is sent from heaven!  I won’t walk away from you.”

     Jesus is saying to you today, I was sent from heaven – literally – just for you.  The Father sent me because He loves you and I love you too.  I am trustworthy.  I will never let you down.  Cast your cares upon me because I care for you.  I will never leave, nor forsake you!  Don’t be afraid….Believe on Me as the scripture has said and out of your belly [heart] shall flow rivers of living water.

     Draw close to me….come closer.... even closer!  Come up higher.  There are things that I want to share with you.  Come closer and let me whisper my secrets to your heart.  Receive my love.  Rest in my love.  Trust in my love for you. Your heart can safely trust in me.  Fall into my arms and I will be there to catch you.  I promise.

     Yes…  I know that you have been hurt before, but I won't hurt you.  Your father may have hurt you, but I am not like your earthly father.  I don’t make mistakes.  I am not like your brother, sister, stranger or anyone else who has disappointed you, because I am God and my love is deeper!   I love you purely, completely, righteously and unconditionally.  My thoughts toward you are good and not evil.  I really do want the best for you! My heart delights to see you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.  I rejoice over you with singing.  Come, my beloved and drink of my living water!  It will refresh your barren, parched and thirsty soul.  I love you with an everlasting love.  My love endures forever!!!!!
